Biography of Dan Vetras
Dan Vetras is the CEO of Visible Technologies, an Internet monitoring and online reputation management company. Dan Vetras brings more than 29 years of technology, sales management, business development, and merger & acquisition experience to Visible Technologies.
A graduate of the American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts, Dan Vetras launched his career at Digital Equipment Corporation as a sales representative. Dan Vetras then moved on to the Lotus Development Corporation, serving in a variety of sales management roles. His first executive role was Vice President of Worldwide Consumer Sales and Channel Marketing for IBM when the company acquired Edmark Corporation. He was a key member of the senior management team that made Edmark one of the country's most notable brands in children's software. Dan Vetras was responsible for expanding Edmark’s distribution to approximately 9,000 retail outlets. Dan Vetras eventually redirected his career towards online commerce, becoming Intranets.com/Cisco Inc.’s Vice President of Sales and Services.
Dan Vetras’s first M&A activity was at Captura Software, Inc., where he served as the company’s president and CEO. Dan Vetras helped develop Captura into from a company worth about $1 million to a company worth more than $10 million. By 2002, Concur Technologies acquired Captura. Dan Vetras was instrumental in orchestrating the successful transition of ownership. As CEO of Talisma, Dan Vetras engineered another successful M&A. He led the web-based company’s strategic efforts of delivering internet based customer service software to companies such as Aetna, AOL, Bank of America, Canon, Dell, Comcast, Microsoft, and the University of Notre Dame. Dan Vetras oversaw the growth of Talisma’s revenue from less than $6 million to a profitable run rate of more than $40 million by end of 2008. During that same year, Dan Vetras ensured a smooth acquisition of Talisma by nGenera, a platform software provider.

Of course, there is much more to Dan Vetras’s life than just business and technology. Dan serves as the President Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of Eastside Catholic School in Bellevue, Washington. He also serves as a Board advisor of the Boys and Girls Club of America in Bellevue. An active participant of the Livestrong Challenge, Dan Vetras has raised money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, an organization that inspires and empowers people who are fighting cancer.
Dan is a member of The Bellevue Club. A former college athlete, he also enjoys running, weight training, basketball, yoga, and golf.
